Lincoln is a city under development at present, not least emphasised by the development of the 'University of Lincoln' who have raised the profile of sport and the city itself.
 
Swimming has emerged as an increasingly popular sporting activity behind football; this campaign aims to provide the city with high-quality infrastructure that the sport and region lacks at present.

This new feature provides members of the public with the opportunity to voice their opinions on the website and engaged into democratic discussion into the positives and negatives with regard to the proposed development of a 50m swimming pool in Lincoln, Lincolnshire.

The campaign to invest into the sporting future of Lincolnshire began in May 2007 with a discussion about the sport of swimming and opportunities within the region in comparison to others. 
 
 
Russell Smith and Dave Spafford are passionate about swimming and are hopeful this is reflected by the efforts to improve the regions infrastructure, and therefore opportunities.
